And anything Glee.

Finn Hudson appreciation blog. Always.

Finchel. But tolerant of other ships and fandoms.

forever cory's, faithfully

If you’re looking for my face and my shenanigans, go here.
If you actually want to know incredibly riveting facts about me, read on.

.) I have a serious ChapStick addiction.

.) My birthday’s February 1. (I share a birthday with HeMo, wheeeeee!) I was born in the states, but my family is from India, and my culture is incredibly important to me. I’m Hindu, and I’m fairly religious, but I love learning about other religions and other cultures.

.) I want a giant panda.

.) I’m pretty sensitive, and get hurt easily, but I don’t show it. I don’t really like to make a big deal of things. Until you mess with my friends, then it’s on.

.) I hate melted ice cream. I put it back in the freezer for about an hour after scooping it.

.) Of all the places I’ve been in my life, I have a top three favorite; the sand dunes in California where it was literally just dunes for miles and miles and miles.. Laying on the swing under the mango tree at our mango garden in India with my Nani before she passed away.. and being on a boat late at night in the middle of the ocean with the breeze and smell of salt water.

.) Clearly, I love Glee. I ship Finchel. Hard.

.) Clearly, I am in love with Cory Monteith. A regular day for me consists of wondering whether I’d rather marry him or be his best friend. I’m convinced we’d be really good friends. Basically I just have a lot of respect and admiration for him and he’s the holy grail of mankind. Also Lea Michele. I adore her. I hope she never stops being herself, and never lets the pressures of the business get to her, because she’s so beautiful, and so talented, and I don’t think she realizes how many girls look up to her. I also want to be her friend. Or just be her, I haven’t yet decided.

.) I’ve had a journal since I was about 10 years old. Not the same one, obviously, but I like just writing down my thoughts. It’s also funny to see how the content evolved from what the boy I like-liked said to me that day, to how freaked out I am over college applications, to seriously contemplating life.

.) I played soccer my entire life until I hurt my knee during a game in high school. Now it’s pretty messed up, and hurts pretty mad, but I’m still really good about staying in shape and exercising regularly.. I’m kind of a gym rat and a health nut, BUT not in the obnoxious/annoying ways.

.) I judge based on character and nothing else. I don’t care what clothes you wear, or what car you drive, or how many people you’ve slept with. None of that is a proper indication of someone’s true colors.

.) I can be incredibly indecisive but it’s not that I usually don’t know what I want, rather it scares me that I want it. As much as I’d like to live life “without regrets,” I have definitely done some things I wish I hadn’t.. and that influences a lot of my decisions, and results in my indecisiveness.

.) I’ve been diagnosed with an honest-to-God chocolate addiction. I literally will wake up in the middle of the night with cravings.

.) My parents and my little sister are literally everything to me. My family is my number one priority.

.) People think I don’t eat a lot when they look at me, but I can seriously put down. I’m not vegetarian but I could be/might as well be because of how picky I am about the way my meat is cooked.

.) My closet is color-coordinated. With shade-fading and everything.

.) I play the piano, flute, and recently taught myself the guitar. I’m still not too awesome at that last one, but I’m working on it :)

.) I also dance. I love to dance. Indian classical, Bollywood, hip-hop, ballroom.. I love it all.

.) I sing 24/7. I’m ALWAYS singing. I’ve been told to shut up by my parents more times than I’d care to keep track of.

.) I LOVE wearing Indian clothing and jewelry. I wear saris every opportunity I get. Not the most comfortable, not the easiest to put on, but I love them.

.) I love JFK and the Kennedy family. I don’t know why, I don’t know how that interest even started, but you could’ve found 9-year-old me at the library reading a whole bunch of biographies and reciting every ridiculous fact back to you.

.) I would really rather make some dinner at home and just hang out with family/friends and pop in a movie or play a board game than go and party up a storm out on the town.

.) Every single guy I’ve ever dated has both played football and been a drummer. Every single guy. Coincidence that I have a mad crush on Cory and think Finn is adorable? ..I think it’s fate.

.) I want to be a pediatric oncologist one day, but I don’t know that I can handle it. I’m incredibly emotional and could see myself getting too attached to my patients. Maybe I’ll just stick to general pediatrics.

.) I love to read books. During the summer when I was little, I would get up early for soccer practice, come home afterwards, shower, eat, and then just curl up on my window seat with a book. Every day, all summer.

.) For me, the most unattractive quality in a man, or even in any person, is too much pride. Lack of humility, giant egos.. not okay. I don’t care how attractive you are, or how athletic you are, or how intelligent you are. If you don’t have both feet firmly planted on the ground, I don’t want you.

.) If I ever lost Teddy, I’m not really sure what I would do. I’ve had him since I was little, his name’s always been very uncreative (is that a word?), and I sleep with him every night.

.) Sometimes I wish I had the guts to do things when I had the chance to do them, like auditioning for a musical.

.) I think winter is miserable. I get cold very easily and am freezing approximately 23 out of the 24 hours in the day. Sunny, warm, and breezy will make me so happy.. but my favorite season is fall, especially that part right around the middle of football season where it’s always windy and just comfortable enough to walk around in a t-shirt and jeans.

.) I’ve seen Dirty Dancing 57 times and it never gets old. I can do the dance in the final number, which is also my all-time favorite song.

.) On that same note.. I idolize Patrick Swayze and I cried for days when he passed away. “She’s Like the Wind” has been my alarm clock song for as long as I can remember.

.) I can be a slight hypochondriac at times, but I prefer to let me body take care of itself, rather than popping some Advil or antibiotics.

.) I’m fascinated by water. Oceans, streams, waterfalls.. there’s just something very magical about it to me.

.) I drink on occasion, but havenever touched drugs. Of course, I’m virtually the only person of my friends, so I would never look down on anyone who has or does, but I’ve seen way too many things in way too many medical classes to think it could ever be a good idea.

.) I get insecure just like everyone else. About everything. My appearance, my grades, my talents.. I think insecurities are inevitable; it’s just a matter of not letting them control your life.

.) I like all different kinds of music, but country is my favorite. ..yes, I know. You can just get over it. I also have a total weak spot for acoustic stuff.

.) I’m going to have 2 dogs one day. I never had any pets growing up, because no one was home during the day and we traveled a lot. But I love them, that will be the first thing I do when I start my own life.

.) There’s one pillow that I always sleep on. When I go back home from my apartment, I bring it with me.

.) I trust people and give them a fair chance until they personally do something to me, or someone I love, to make me think otherwise. It takes a lot to actually make me angry and I get over most things very quickly. You should probably be ashamed of what you did if it was bad enough to make me honestly upset.

.) I don’t have a middle name. I just.. don’t have one. I used to feel left out in grade school when we had to bubble our names and middle initials onto papers. I even made one up one year.

.) I don’t at all mind getting dirty or breaking a nail or something- I’ll play ultimate Frisbee in the rain and mud, I’ll play tackle football with the guys.. I don’t mind.

.) I hate the way women tear each other down. We spend so much time complaining that men don’t respect us, we’re not treated as equals, blah blah blah.. WE DON’T EVEN RESPECT EACH OTHER. The behind-the-back whispers, the back-stabbing, the fakeness, the blatant cattiness.. it’s ridiculous.

.) The only shows other than Glee that I’ve ever been OBSESSED with were F.R.I.E.N.D.S and 24. OBSESSED.

.) I love potatoes. If my mom wants to make something for dinner that I dislike, she’ll just add potatoes to it and I’ll eat it. Pasta and bread too. Ugh, carbs are soooo good.

.) Jasmine is my favorite Disney princess. I used to want to be her when I was little, and I get really annoyed when they sell things in stores that have every other princess but her.

.) I’m a complete neat freak about some things, but others just don’t phase me in the least. That said, there is a gigantic difference between messy and dirty.

.) One of the things I dislike most about people is closed-mindedness. I understand if you don’t agree with me, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion.. but don’t tell me that my view on an issue is just dead wrong and your way is the only right way.

.) I used to hate being the tallest one at school. But then everyone started catching up and suddenly 5’8” just isn’t that tall anymore.

.) I know what I want to do for the rest of my life. I know the kind of house I want to have, the kind of man I want to marry, how I want to raise my kids.. even down to the hours I want to work and the flowers I’ll have in my garden. But I try not to tell anyone any of these plans because I’m scared it will happen differently than I’ve imagined for so long, and I’m not good with that kind of stuff. It scares me how serious life is getting at this point, nothing can be taken lightly anymore.. test scores are no longer just test scores, relationships are no longer just relationships. The entire course of life can now be altered so drastically by just the littlest things. It’s all going so quickly, and as exciting as these years are, it’s also scary how crucial they are.

.) The simplest things will make me very happy, I’m not hard at all to please. I like being happy and usually am. If I’m upset for more than a half hour then it’s probably something legitimate. I love laughing about nothing and coloring and rolling down grassy hills and singing obnoxiously and I don’t care if people think I’m five years old.. life’s too short to be anything but happy.
